Description

“THE QUAY” located near the bustling center of Sydney’s Haymarket district and commonly referred to as Chinatown, is a unique building project incorporating the newest designs for modern living whilst maintaining a subtle yet significant link to Sydney’s colonial past.  Rising above one of Sydney’s earliest building facades, “The Quay” offers its residents the convenience of living a contemporary lifestyle in the heart of Sydney yet allows its inhabitants the luxury of immersing themselves into its intricate gardens and water-features.

The two levels of gardens showcase black and white paving stone walkways surrounded by raised garden beds full of mature trees and overflowing with numerous species of vegetation. In all, over 3,000 various trees, shrubs, and plants were installed as well as 6 fully matured trees craned into island planters. Numerous ponds scattered throughout the gardens are full of plant life and dotted with rock boulders and the occasional century-old water-pump fountain. To fully enjoy the serene atmosphere and beauty of the gardens, Australian hardwood timber-bench seats are conveniently scattered on both levels with subtle timber screens blending with surrounding gardens ensuring privacy from the outside world.
